Who runs Leave By

Leave By (leave-by.turbopilot.app) is an independent airport-timing tool. To contact us about privacy, use the Feedback & requests button at the bottom of any page and choose "Other".

What stays on your device

Your timing settings, starting point, saved places, recent flights and cookie choice are kept in your browser's local storage. They are not sent to us, and you can clear them at any time through your browser's site-data settings.

What we send to work out your time

• Flight number: sent to AeroDataBox (via RapidAPI) to look up the flight.
• Typed address: sent to OpenStreetMap Nominatim to find its coordinates.
• Start and airport coordinates: sent to OSRM, or Google Maps when live traffic is enabled, to work out the drive time.
• Live location: only if you tap "Use my location" or "I'm driving", and only while you use it. Coordinates are used for the drive-time lookup and are not stored by us.

These requests go through our server, which does not keep them. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps short-lived technical logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.

Sharing a trip

"Share trip" copies a link containing the flight number and your starting point (rounded to about 100 m) and its name. Anyone you send it to can see them, so only share it with people you trust. Your starting point is never kept in the page address otherwise.

Cookies and advertising

With your consent, we use:

• Google Tag Manager and Google Ads: measure which ads bring visitors and count conversions such as tracking a flight.
• Stay22 and Travelpayouts: affiliate partners that may add or attribute travel links, so we can earn a commission at no cost to you.
• Ad-swap: shows one display advert in the app.

If you reject, or haven't chosen yet, the affiliate scripts and the advert don't load, and Google's tags run in a restricted mode that sets no advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of the app pages.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies or cross-site tracking.

Feedback messages

If you send feedback, we receive your message, the email address you give (optional), your IP address and browser type. We use them only to read and reply to your message, and to block abuse.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or EU, you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, and you can complain to your data-protection authority (in the UK, the ICO at ico.org.uk). Contact us through the Feedback button.
